L'Oréal hair color is designed for convenient at-home coloring with an application system that helps distribute the prepared mixture evenly through the roots, lengths, and ends. Before application, the coloring cream is mixed thoroughly with the developer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The application method varies depending on whether the hair is being colored for the first time or is being retouched after previous coloring. For first application, the mixture is distributed through the roots, lengths, and ends and left to develop for the recommended processing time. For subsequent applications, the roots are treated first before the remaining mixture is distributed through the rest of the hair. After coloring, the hair is rinsed thoroughly until the water runs clear, followed by application of the included conditioning treatment to help leave the hair feeling smooth and cared for. A skin allergy test must be performed 48 hours before every use.
