Gamcet contains tamsulosin hydrochloride 0.4 mg and is used to treat lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic enlargement. Tamsulosin works by reducing muscle tension in the prostate and urethra. This helps urine pass more easily through the urethra, improving urine flow and making urination easier. Gamcet is formulated as a prolonged-release tablet for once-daily administration. The tablet should be swallowed whole to maintain its prolonged-release properties.
