Esopole contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is used for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation, and for the treatment and prevention of reflux oesophagitis. Depending on the prescribed regimen, esomeprazole may also be used for selected peptic ulcer conditions, including treatment associated with Helicobacter pylori and ulcers related to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines. Esopole is available in 20 mg and 40 mg strengths with different pack sizes. The appropriate strength, dose, and treatment duration are determined according to the condition being treated.
