Description: Canesten-1 Vaginal Cream 10% is an intravaginal antifungal medicine containing clotrimazole 10% w/w. Each single-dose pack contains 5 g of cream, equivalent to 500 mg of clotrimazole, supplied in a pre-filled vaginal applicator. Clotrimazole belongs to the azole group of antifungal medicines and acts against Candida fungi responsible for vaginal thrush. The product is designed as a complete single-application course delivered directly to the site of infection. Vaginal candidiasis may cause persistent itching or burning around the vagina and vulva, redness, swelling, soreness, and a whitish discharge. The treatment is normally given as one single application.
